Arkanoid, the brick-breaking arcade classic, has returned with a vengeance in “Arkanoid: Eternal Battle.” This latest iteration, developed by Pastagames and published by Microids, breathes new life into the beloved formula, offering a compelling blend of nostalgia and contemporary gameplay. While staying true to its roots, “Eternal Battle” introduces fresh modes and features, notably the captivating “Eternal Battle” mode itself, designed to test the skill and endurance of even the most seasoned Arkanoid veterans.
The core gameplay remains instantly recognizable: players control the “Vaus” space vessel, deflecting a bouncing ball to destroy a wall of bricks. Power-ups, a staple of the series, return with familiar effects like widening the Vaus, adding multi-ball, and equipping lasers.
