You are a slugcat. The world that you live in is fraught with peril, and you are the only one who can protect yourself from it. In the midst of a catastrophic flood, if you are separated from your loved ones, you will need to locate food and shelter in the midst of terrifying torrential downpours that threaten to extinguish all life. Climb through the ruins of an ancient civilization while avoiding the jaws of vicious predators and discovering new lands that are teeming with strange creatures and buried mysteries. Find your loved ones quickly before you become someone else’s dinner!
This survival platformer was inspired by the straightforwardness and aesthetics of 16-bit classics. It requires deft decision-making in order to avoid being devoured by other hungry predators while also catching your own prey. Every savage adversary standing in your way will be crafty, vicious, and perpetually on the prowl; they will be eager to sink their fangs into you or even into each other. Because you are a small and vulnerable slugcat, you must rely on cunning and stealth rather than force. You must study the ecosystem and figure out how to use its features to your advantage. Perhaps then you will be able to endure… Rain World!
